I was recently tagged by Becky, who has the beautiful blog Baking and Cooking, A Tale of Two Loves, for the Seven Links challenge. So here are my Seven Links:
Most Beautiful: Strawberry Banana Muffins
I’m not sure why I love this picture so much, but I do! I think it might be the way the red on the tea cup mimics the red color and texture of the strawberries peeping through on the muffins. Or maybe it is the napkins with the teapot crocheted on the corners.
Most Popular: Orange Cake with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting
This cake recently became my most popular post. But if it wasn’t my most popular, it would have been listed as my most beautiful. I love my mother-in-law’s cake plate and fan-shaped snack plates that are pictured, and the cake was one of my favorites.
Most Helpful: Lemon Cream Cheese Bars
This is an easy short-cut recipe, so I guess I would consider it helpful. One of the reasons I posted it was because I couldn’t find the recipe, so if nothing else it is helpful for me to have it on my blog so I can find it when I need it.
Most Controversial/Most Surprising: Peanut Butter Cookies
This was my first post to make the Foodbuzz Top 9. No one was more surprised than I was except maybe “Jane” who commented, “Really? Peanut butter cookies? And this made the top nine?”
Surprisingly Successful: Blueberry Buckle
My Blueberry Buckle post received more page views in one day than any other post. It was a fabulous cake, but I was shocked at how popular it was.
Didn’t Get The Attention It Deserved: Apple Pannekoeken
Maybe this Apple Pannekoeken was just too weird. I’m not sure why this post wasn’t very popular, but the weird pancake sure did taste delicious!
Most Proud Of: Grandma’s Old Fashioned Molasses Cookies
Even though these cookies didn’t turn out exactly like my grandma’s, I’m proud that I tried making them, and I am proud of this post.
I am supposed to tag more blogs to post their Seven Links, but so many have already posted theirs. So, if you have a blog and are reading this and haven’t posted your Seven Links, consider yourself tagged! Really—if you haven’t done this, you should! It is fun to reflect and helpful to evaluate!
